How we started

Chattanooga Fire Protection was formed in 1945 by David Mitchell, Sr.  At that time, the company occupied an 800 square foot building with a dirt floor on Long Street. In 1990, David, Don and Steve Kent purchased the assets from David Mitchell. And then in 1993 CFP moved to its present location at 1818 Broad Street.

Later, in 2003, CFP purchased the assets on Guardian Fire and combined operations. After the combination, CFP expanded into emergency lighting and sub contracting work both as a single source and as a sub for others. In 2007 Chattanooga Fire Protection expanded its services once again by starting up its Firestopping division.

By bringing you, our customer, efficient and thorough service we strive to be a single source for all of your safety needs.
